EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING ACT 1988 No. 80 of 1988 - SECT 43

43. (1) The Consultative Committee shall consist of:

   (a)  the Secretary of the Department who shall be the Chairperson of the
        Committee;

   (b)  a person appointed by the Minister responsible for the administration
        of the Australian Capital Territory; and

   (c)  7 other persons, being the persons appointed in accordance with
        subsection (2).

(2) The relevant Minister for each State shall appoint a person to be a member
of the Consultative Committee.

(3) An appointed member of the Consultative Committee:

   (a)  holds office for such period as is specified in the instrument of
        appointment; and

   (b)  is eligible for re-appointment.

(4) A person may not be at the same time a member of the Board and a member of
the Consultative Committee.

(5) In this section:

"relevant Minister", in relation to a State, means:

   (a)  the Minister of that State responsible for matters relating to
        employment, education and training; or

   (b)  if responsibility for the matters referred under paragraph (a) is
        shared between 2 or more Ministers of that State-the Minister among
        them declared in writing by the Premier or Chief Minister of that
        State to be the relevant Minister for that State.
