EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING ACT 1988 No. 80 of 1988 - SECT 29

29. (1) The Board may, by notice in writing to a Council, give directions or
furnish guidelines to that Council with respect to the performance of the
functions of the Council.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) authorises the Board to give directions, or
furnish guidelines, to the Australian Research Council in relation to the
making of particular grants of assistance under a scheme referred to the
Council under paragraph 27 (1) (a).

(3) A Council shall comply with any direction or guideline given or furnished
to it under subsection (1).

(4) In the performance of its functions under this Part, a Council shall have
regard to any advice given by a Counsellor to the Council under section 57.
