EVIDENCE ACT 1995 No. 2 of 1995 - SECT 19

19. Section 18 does not apply in proceedings for an offence against or
referred to in the following provisions:

   (a)  an offence against a provision of Part III or IIIA of the Crimes Act 
        1900 of the Australian Capital Territory, being an offence against a
        person under the age of 16 years;

   (b)  an offence against section 133, 134, 135, 139 or 140 of the
        Children's  Services Act 1986 of the Australian Capital Territory;

   (c)  an offence that is a domestic violence offence within the meaning of
        the Domestic Violence Act 1986 of the Australian Capital Territory or
        an offence under section 27 of that Act. Note: This section differs
        from section 19 of the NSW Act.
