EXTRADITION ACT 1988 No. 4 of 1988 - SECT 49
Arrest of persons escaping from custody
49. (1) Any police officer may, without warrant, arrest a person, if the
police officer has reasonable grounds to believe that the person has escaped
from custody authorised by this Act.
(2) A person who has been arrested under subsection (1) shall be returned to
the custody referred to in that subsection.
