                    DAIRYING INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND PROMOTION
                            LEVY AMENDMENT ACT 1980

                                No. 170 of 1980

      An Act to amend the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act
1972 

  BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and the House of Representatives
of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title, &c.
  1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion
Levy Amendment Act 1980.*1*
  (2) The Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 1972*2* is in this
Act referred to as the Principal Act.

Commencement

  2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the
Royal Assent.*1*

Amount of levy

  3. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended-

  (a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "1 cent" and substituting "1.2 cents";
and 

  (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "6 cents" and substituting "12 cents".

Amount of levy

  4. Section 11 of the Principal Act is amended-

  (a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "25 cents" and substituting "30 cents";
and

  (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "$1.50" and substituting "$3".
