CHILD SUPPORT ACT 1988 No. 3 of 1988 - SECT 37
Registrar may vary Child Support Register to give effect to court order etc.
37. Where the Registrar is of the opinion (otherwise than because of the
receipt of an approved form under subsection 33 (1), 34 (1) or 35 (1) or (2)):
(a) that, under the Family Law Act 1975 or the law of a State or
Territory:
(i) an order has been made by, or registered in, a court; or
(ii) a maintenance agreement has been registered in, or approved by,
a court;
and the order or agreement varies or otherwise affects a registered
maintenance liability; or
(b) that an affecting event in relation to an enforceable maintenance
liability has happened; the Registrar shall make such variations (if
any) to the particulars entered in the Child Support Register in
relation to the liability as the Registrar considers necessary or
desirable to enable the order or agreement to be given effect to under
this Act or to take account of the happening of the event, as the case
may be.
