COMMONWEALTH PLACES (MIRROR TAXES) ACT 1998 No. 24, 1998 - SECT 9
Arrangements with States
(1) The Governor-General may make an arrangement with the Governor of a State
in relation to the exercise or performance of a power, duty or function (not
being a power, duty or function involving the exercise of judicial power) by
an authority of the State under the applied laws of the State.
(2) Where such an arrangement is in force, the power, duty or function may or
must, as the case may be, be exercised or performed accordingly.
(3) The Governor-General may arrange with the Governor of a State for the
variation or revocation of an arrangement made under this section in relation
to the State.
(4) An arrangement, variation or revocation under this section must be made by
instrument in writing, a copy of which must be published in the Gazette .
