COMPLAINTS (AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE) ACT 1981 No. 21 of 1981 - SECT 56

56. Where a person who holds -

   (a)  an office of Judge of the Federal Court of Australia or of the Supreme
        Court of a Territory other than the Northern Territory;

   (b)  an office the holder of which has, by virtue of an Act, the same
        status as a Judge referred to in paragraph (a); or

   (c)  an office of Magistrate of a Territory other than the Northern
        Territory, is appointed as a member of the Disciplinary Tribunal, the
        appointment or service of the person as such a member does not affect
        his tenure of that office, or his rank, title, status or precedence,
        his salary or other allowances or his other rights or privileges as
        the holder of that office, and, for all purposes, his service as a
        member of the Tribunal shall be taken to be service as the holder of
        that office.
