COMPLAINTS (AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE) ACT 1981 No. 21 of 1981 - SECT 52

Reports of special inquiries
52. (1) Where an inquiry is held in accordance with arrangements made under
section 50, the person or persons holding the inquiry shall report to the
Minister the results of the inquiry and may make such recommendations (if any)
arising out of the inquiry as he deems or they deem fit.

(2) On receipt of a report of the results of an inquiry held in accordance
with arrangements made under section 50 -

   (a)  if the inquiry was held in pursuance of a request made to the Minister
        by the Ombudsman under paragraph 36 (2) (a) (ii) - the Minister shall
        cause a copy of the report of the results of the inquiry to be
        forwarded to the Ombudsman; and

   (b)  the Minister may cause such action to be taken, arising out of his
        consideration of the report, as he deems fit, including action by way
        of causing a member to be charged with an offence or
        breach of discipline.
