COMPLAINTS (AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE) ACT 1981 No. 21 of 1981 - SECT 38

38. (1) Section 19 of the Ombudsman Act 1976 extends, by virtue of this
section, to operations of the Ombudsman under this Act as if -

   (a)  references in that section to operations of the Ombudsman included
        references to operations of the Ombudsman under this Act;

   (b)  references in that section to complaints made under the Ombudsman Act
        1976 concerning action taken by officers included references to
        complaints made under this Act, either to the Ombudsman or to members
        of the Australian Federal Police, concerning action taken by members
        of the Australian Federal Police; and

   (c)  the reference in sub-section 19(8) of the Ombudsman Act 1976 to
        sub-section 8(5) of that Act were a reference to sub-section 8 (5) of
        the Ombudsman Act 1976 or sub-section 25 (7) of this Act, whichever is
        applicable to the relevant investigation. (2) The Ombudsman shall
        include in each report made by him under paragraph 19 (1) (a) of the
        Ombudsman Act 1976 the prescribed particulars with respect to
        complaints that were made to him, or made to members and notified to
        him, under this Act, during the year to which the report relates.
