COMPLAINTS (AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE) ACT 1981 No. 21 of 1981 - SECT 20
Delegation
20. (1) The Commissioner may, either generally or as otherwise provided by the
instrument of delegation, by writing signed by him, delegate to a member any
of his powers under this Act, other than this power of delegation.
(2) A power so delegated, when exercised by the delegate, shall, for the
purposes of this Act, be deemed to have been exercised by the Commissioner.
(3) A delegate shall, upon request by a person affected by the exercise of any
powers delegated to him, produce the instrument of delegation, or a copy of
that instrument, for inspection.
(4) A delegation under this section does not prevent the exercise of a power
by the Commissioner.
