COMPLAINTS (AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE) ACT 1981 No. 21 of 1981 - SECT 15

15. (1) The establishment of the Investigation Division shall be such as is
from time to time determined by the Commissioner.

(2) In determining the establishment of the Investigation Division, and in
varying that establishment from time to time, the Commissioner shall ensure,
so far as it is practicable for him to do so, that the staff of the
Investigation Division is adequate to enable the Division to perform its
functions effectively.

(3) The officer in charge is responsible directly to the Commissioner, or, if
the Commissioner so directs, to a specified Deputy Commissioner, for the
performance by the Investigation Division of its functions.
