CANNED FRUITS MARKETING AMENDMENT ACT 1984 No. 148 of 1984 - SECT 11

11. Section 29 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (5) and
substituting the following sub-sections:

"(5) If-

   (a)  the Chairperson is not present at a meeting of the Corporation; and

   (b)  neither the Deputy Chairperson nor another person is acting as
        Chairperson, then-

   (c)  if the Deputy Chairperson is present at the meeting-the Deputy
        Chairperson shall preside at the meeting; or

   (d)  if the Deputy Chairperson is not present at the meeting-the members
        present shall elect one of their number to preside at the meeting.



"(5A) If-

   (a)  the Deputy Chairperson or another person is acting as Chairperson; and

   (b)  the person so acting is not present at a meeting of the Corporation,
        then the members present shall elect one of their number to preside at
        the meeting.".
