CANNED FRUITS MARKETING ACT 1979 No. 160 of 1979 - SECT 43

43. (1) The Minister may appoint a person to be the deputy of an appointed
member during the pleasure of the Minister.

(2) The appointment of a person to be the deputy of an appointed member shall
be on the nomination of the appointed member.

(3) A person appointed to be the deputy of an appointed member shall, in the
event of the absence of the member from a meeting of the Advisory Committee,
be entitled to attend that meeting and, when so attending, shall be deemed to
be a member of the Advisory Committee.

(4) A deputy of an appointed member shall be paid such fees, allowances and
expenses as the Minister determines.
