CANNED FRUITS MARKETING ACT 1979 No. 160 of 1979 - SECT 40

40. (1) Subject to this section, meetings of the Advisory Committee shall be
held at such times and places as the Advisory Committee from time to time
determines.

(2) The Chairman of the Advisory Committee may at any time convene a meeting
of the Advisory Committee.

(3) At a meeting of the Advisory Committee, such number of members as is
prescribed from time to time constitutes a quorum.

(4) The Chairman of the Advisory Committee shall preside at all meetings of
the Advisory Committee at which he is present.

(5) In the event of the absence of the Chairman of the Advisory Committee from
a meeting of the Advisory Committee, the members present shall elect one of
their number to preside at that meeting.

(6) A question arising at a meeting of the Advisory Committee shall be decided
by a majority of the votes of members present and voting.

(7) The member presiding at a meeting of the Advisory Committee has a
deliberative vote and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has a
casting vote.
