Retirement of employees upon or after attaining minimum retiring age
PART III-RETIREMENT OF EMPLOYEES
Division 1-Voluntary Retirement
17. (1) An employee who has attained his minimum retiring age is entitled to
retire from his employment at any time he desires to do so.
(2) In sub-section (1), ''minimum retiring age'' means, in relation to an
employee-
(a) if the employee is included in a class of employees in respect of whom
a minimum retiring age is fixed by the regulations-the age so fixed;
or
(b) in the case of any other employee-the age of 55 years.
