PART V-STAFF
29. (1) Subject to sections 30 and 31, the staff of the Centre shall be
persons appointed or employed under the Public Service Act 1922-1974.

(2) The Director has all the powers of, or exercisable by, a Permanent Head
under the Public Service Act 1922-1974 in so far as those powers relate to the
branch of the Australian Public Service comprising the staff of the Centre as
if that branch were a separate Department of the Australian Public Service.

(3) For the purposes of sub-sections 25 (5) and (6) of the Public Service Act
1922-1974, the Director shall be deemed to be a Permanent Head.

(4) In this section, a reference to the Director shall, if there is an
acting Director, be read as a reference to the acting Director.
