CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION (ELECTION) ACT 1997 No. 128 of 1997 - SECT 16
16 Date of nomination
(1) Subject to subsection (2), the date fixed for the nomination of the
candidates must be 9 days after the day the Minister gives notice under
section 14.
(2) Where a candidate for an election dies, after being nominated and before
12 o'clock noon on the day fixed by the Minister's notice as the date of
nomination for the election, the day fixed as the date of nomination for the
election is to be taken to be the day after the day so fixed.
