CUSTOMS AND EXCISE LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1990 No. 111 of 1990 - SECT 2

Commencement
2. (1) Subject to this Act, the provisions of this Act commence on a day or
days to be fixed by Proclamation.

(2) Sections 1, 2 and 3, paragraphs 4 (a), (b), (c), (d) and (g), sections  5
, 11, 27 and 30, paragraphs 34 (d) and (e), sections 35 and 36, section 37 so
far as it relates to the amendments included in Schedule 2 that relate to
section 209 of the Customs Act 1901, and sections 38, 39, 47, 48 and 49
commence on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

(3) Section 26 commences 28 days after the day on which this Act receives the
Royal Assent.

(4) Section 33 is taken to have commenced on 21 December 1989.

(5) If a provision of this Act, other than a provision referred to in
subsection (2), (3) or (4), does not commence under subsection (1) within the
period of 6 months commencing on the day on which this Act receives the Royal
Assent, it commences on the first day after the end of that period.
