COMPANIES ACT 1981 No. 89 of 1981 - SECT 57
Registration of name of foreign company that has become a recognized company after transfer of incorporation to participating State or Territory
57. Where-
(a) a name has been reserved in respect of a foreign company under section
56; and
(b) the name is registered under the provision of a law of a participating
State or participating Territory that corresponds with sub-section 55
(4), the Commission shall register that name in the Territory and,
where the Commission so registers the name-
(c) the registration remains in force until it is cancelled by the
Commission under this Division or until the registration of that name
in the State or Territory referred to in paragraph (b) is cancelled
under the law of that State or Territory; and
(d) if a registration of that name in respect of that foreign company is
in force under any other provision of this Division, the Commission
shall cancel that last-mentioned registration.
