COMPANIES ACT 1981 No. 89 of 1981 - SECT 559

559. A person who gives, or agrees or offers to give, to a member or creditor
of a company any valuable consideration with a view to securing his own
appointment or nomination, or to securing or preventing the appointment or
nomination of some person other than himself, as the liquidator, provisional
liquidator or official manager of the company, as receiver, or receiver and
manager, of the property or any part of the property of the company or as a
trustee or other person administering a compromise or arrangement in relation
to the company is guilty of an offence.

Penalty: $1,000 or imprisonment for 3 months, or both.
