Broadcasting Stations Licence Fees Amendment Act 1983 No. 58 of 1983 - SECT 3

3. (1) Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting from paragraph (2A) (c) ''or''; and

   (b)  by omitting paragraph (2A) (d) and substituting the following
        paragraphs:

''(d) where those gross earnings are not less than $7,000,000 but are less
than $10,000,000-the percentage ascertained in accordance with the formula-

4.4 A 0.3 C AB7,000,000 ;

''(e) where those gross earnings are not less than $10,000,000- whichever is
the lesser of 5.5% or the percentage ascertained in accordance with the
formula-

5.3 A 0.11 C AB10,000,000 ,

1,000,000

(2) The amendments made by sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have applied or
apply, as the case may be, in relation to each anniversary of the date of
commencement of a licence, being an anniversary that occurred or occurs, as
the case may be, on or after 1 September 1983.
