AVIATION TRANSPORT SECURITY ACT 2004 No. 8, 2004 - SECT 69

Persons to whom special security directions may be given
(1)
A special security direction may be given to one or more of the following:

(a)
an APS employee in the Department;
(b)
a member of the staff of CASA;
(c)
a member of the staff of Airservices Australia;
(d)
an aviation industry participant or an employee of an aviation industry participant;
(e)
passengers;
(f)
persons, other than persons mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (e), who are within the boundaries of a security controlled airport.
(2)
For the purposes of giving a special security direction to persons mentioned in paragraph (1)(e) or (f), the Secretary is taken to have given a written direction to the persons if the direction is clearly displayed at a place where the direction is to be complied with by those persons.
