AVIATION TRANSPORT SECURITY ACT 2004 No. 8, 2004 - SECT 69
Persons to whom special security directions may be given
- (1)
- A special security direction may be given to one or more of the following:
- (a)
- an APS employee in the Department;
- (b)
- a member of the staff of CASA;
- (c)
- a member of the staff of Airservices Australia;
- (d)
- an aviation industry participant or an employee of an aviation industry
participant;
- (e)
- passengers;
- (f)
- persons, other than persons mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (e), who
are within the boundaries of a security controlled airport.
- (2)
- For the purposes of giving a special security direction to persons
mentioned in paragraph (1)(e) or (f), the Secretary is taken to have
given a written direction to the persons if the direction is clearly displayed
at a place where the direction is to be complied with by those persons.
