AUSTRALIAN SECURITY INTELLIGENCE ORGANIZATION ACT 1979 No. 113 of 1979 - SECT 75

Refusal to be sworn or to answer questions
75. A person appearing as a witness before the Tribunal shall not, without
reasonable excuse-

   (a)  when required in pursuance of section 70 either to take an oath or
        make an affirmation-refuse or fail to comply with the requirement;

   (b)  refuse or fail to answer a question that he is required to answer by
        the member presiding at the proceeding; or

   (c)  refuse or fail to produce a document that he was required to produce
        by a summons under this Act served on him as prescribed.

Penalty: $500 or imprisonment for 3 months.
