AUSTRALIAN SECURITY INTELLIGENCE ORGANIZATION ACT 1979 No. 113 of 1979 - SECT 44

44. (1) The Governor-General may, for the purpose of appointing as a
presidential member a person who is a Judge of a court of a State, enter into
such arrangement with the Governor of that State as is necessary to secure
that person's services.

(2) An arrangement under sub-section (1) may provide for the Commonwealth to
reimburse the State with respect to the services of the person to whom the
arrangement relates.
