AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 90 of 1989 - SECT 89

Allowances and expenses
89. (1) A person who, pursuant to a requirement made under section 19, appears
for examination is entitled to the prescribed allowances and expenses (if
any).

(2) A person who, pursuant to a summons issued under section 58, appears at a
hearing is entitled to be paid:

   (a)  if the summons was issued at another person's request-by that other
        person; or

   (b)  otherwise-by the Commission; the prescribed allowances and expenses
        (if any).

(3) The Commission may pay such amount as it thinks reasonable on account of
the costs and expenses (if any) that a person incurs in complying with a
requirement made under this Part.
