AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 90 of 1989 - SECT 229

229. The Minister may terminate the appointment of the Director or a member:

   (a)  because of physical or mental incapacity; or

   (b)  if he or she becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of a law
        for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his or
        her creditors or assigns remuneration or property for their benefit.
