AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES COMMISSION ACT 1989 No. 90 of 1989 - SECT 176

176. (1) Subject to this Act, a person appointed as President holds office as
such until:

   (a)  the end of his or her current term as a member; or

   (b)  he or she otherwise stops being a member; whichever happens first.

(2) A person is not ineligible to be appointed under section 173 merely
because he or she has been so appointed before.
