AUSTRALIAN PROTECTIVE SERVICE ACT 1987 No. 7 of 1987 - SECT 10

10. A protective service officer shall not perform the duties, or exercise the
powers, of his or her office unless the protective service officer has made
and subscribed an oath or affirmation in the prescribed form before a person
authorised, in writing, by the Secretary.
