                                No. 157 of 1980

      An Act to amend the Aged or Disabled Persons Homes Act 1954

  BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and the House of Representatives
of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title
  1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Aged or Disabled Persons Homes Amendment
Act 1980.*1*
  (2) The Aged or Disabled Persons Homes Act 1954*2* is in this Act referred
to as the Principal Act.

- SECT 2
Commencement

  2. (1) Subject to sub-section (2), this Act shall come into operation on the
day on which it receives the Royal Assent.*1*
  (2) Section 3 shall be deemed to have come into operation on 30 September
1980.

Authorization of payments

  3. (1) Section 10C of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-
section (1) "$60" and substituting "$80".
  (2) The amendment made by sub-section (1) applies in respect of payments to
an approved organization in respect of persons residing in accommodation
provided by that organization on a date that is a prescribed date in relation
to that organization, being a date later than the date of commencement of this
section.
