AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY ACT 1991 No. 131 of 1991 - SECT 4

4. (1) The Australian National University that was, immediately before the
commencement of this Act, in existence by virtue of the original Act is
continued in existence under the same name.

(2) The University:

   (a)  continues to be a body corporate; and

   (b)  has a seal; and

   (c)  may acquire, hold and dispose of real and personal property.

(3) The seal of the University must be kept in such custody as the Council
directs and may be used only as authorised by the Council.

(4) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially must take judicial notice
of the imprint of the seal of the University appearing on a document and must
presume that it was duly affixed.
