AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY ACT 1991 No. 131 of 1991 - SECT 24

24. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the Chairperson of the Board of the
Institute is to preside at all meetings of the Board at which he or she is
present.

(2) If the Chairperson:

   (a)  is not present; or

   (b)  declines to preside; at a meeting of the Board, the members present
        must elect one of their number to preside at the meeting.

(3) At a meeting of the Board, a quorum is constituted as provided by the
Statutes.
