AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY ACT 1991 No. 131 of 1991 - SECT 14
Disclosure of interests of members
14. (1) A member of the Council who has a direct or indirect pecuniary
interest in a matter being considered or about to be considered by the Council
shall, as soon as possible after the relevant facts have come to the member's
knowledge, disclose the nature of the interest at a meeting of the Council.
(2) A disclosure under subsection (1) must be recorded in the minutes of the
meeting of the Council and the member must not, unless the Council otherwise
determines:
(a) be present during any deliberation of the Council with respect to that
matter; or
(b) take part in any decision of the Council with respect to that matter.
(3) For the purpose of making a determination under subsection (2), a member
of the Council who has a direct or indirect pecuniary interest in the matter
concerned must not:
(a) be present during any deliberation of the Council for the purpose of
making the determination; or
(b) take part in making the determination.
