        This Act may be cited as the A New Tax System (Commonwealth-State
Financial Arrangements-Consequential Provisions) Act 1999.

A NEW TAX SYSTEM (COMMONWEALTH-STATE FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS-CONSEQUENTIAL PROVISIONS) ACT 1999
- SECT 2   Commencement  

        This Act commences at the later of:

        (a)  the start of 1 July 2000; and
        (b)  the commencement of the A New Tax System (Commonwealth-State Financial
Arrangements) Act 1999.

        Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed
as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other
item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
