AUSTRALIAN MARITIME SAFETY AUTHORITY ACT 1990 No. 78 of 1990 - SECT 5
Establishment of Authority
5. (1) An Authority called the Australian Maritime Safety Authority is
established.
(2) The Authority:
(a) is a body corporate with perpetual succession; and
(b) has a seal; and
(c) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
(3) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially must take judicial notice
of the imprint of the seal of the Authority appearing on a document and must
presume that the document was duly sealed.
