AUSTRALIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION (REPEAL, TRANSITIONAL AND MISCELLANEOUS) ACT 1996 No. 38, 1996 - SECT 11

11 Regulations

(1) The Governor-General may make regulations prescribing matters:

   (a)  required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or

   (b)  necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving
        effect to this Act.

(2) In particular, regulations may be made in relation to transitional matters
arising out of the abolition of the LRC and its replacement by the ALRC, or
otherwise arising out of the enactment of this Act, the ALRC Act or the
Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1996.
