AUSTRALIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT 1996 No. 37, 1996 - SECT 8

(1) The President and Deputy President must be appointed as full-time members.

(2) The other members must be appointed either as full-time or part-time
members.

(3) If the President is or becomes the holder of a judicial office, the
President may carry out any of the duties of that office.

(4) In this section:
judicial office includes the office of judge of the Supreme Court of a State
or Territory.
