AUSTRALIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT 1996 No. 37, 1996 - SECT 40

(1) The Commission may establish a Division of the Commission for the purposes
of a reference.

(2) A Division must comprise at least 3 members.

(3) If neither the President nor the Deputy President is a member of a
Division, the Commission must nominate a member who is to preside at meetings
of the Division.

(4) A Division is taken to be the Commission for the purposes of performing
the Commission's functions in relation to the reference for which the Division
is established.
