AUSTRALIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT 1996 No. 37, 1996 - SECT 28

(1) The Board's function is to manage the Commission and, in particular,
ensure that it performs its functions effectively and economically.

(2) The Board has power to do everything necessary or convenient to be done
for, or in connection with, the performance of its functions.

(3) Anything done by the Board in the Commission's name, or on its behalf, is
taken to have been done by the Commission.
