AUSTRALIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT 1996 No. 37, 1996 - SECT 26

(1) If a House of the Parliament, or a Parliamentary Committee, requires the
Commission to give it any information about the performance of the
Commission's functions, or the exercise of its powers, the Commission must
comply with the requirement.

(2) The information that may be required under subsection (1) includes
information about the Commission's expenditure or proposed expenditure.

(3) The Commission must comply with a direction of the Attorney-General under
subsection 20(3) or 22(2).
