AUSTRALIAN HORTICULTURAL CORPORATION ACT 1987 No. 164 of 1987 - SECT 16

16. (1) The members of the Corporation (other than the Managing Director)
shall be appointed by the Minister.

(2) The Minister shall not appoint a person to be the government member unless
the Minister is satisfied that the person has experience in, and knowledge of:

   (a)  the formulation of government policy; and

   (b)  public administration.

(3) The nominated members of the Corporation shall be appointed from persons
nominated by the Corporation Selection Committee under section 80.

(4) The Minister shall not appoint a person who has attained 65 years of age
as a member of the Corporation unless the Minister is satisfied that the
person has expertise required by the Corporation.

(5) The appointment of a person as a member of the Corporation is not invalid
because of a defect or irregularity in connection with the person's nomination
or appointment.
