AUSTRALIAN HERITAGE COMMISSION ACT 1975 No. 57 of 1975 - SECT 17

17. (1) A representative Commissioner who is the Permanent Head of a
Department may, in writing, authorize an officer of that Department to
represent him at a meeting of the Commission.

(2) A representative Commissioner who is, or is deemed for the purposes of
section 12 to be, the Chairman of an authority of Australia may, in writing,
authorize another member of the authority (if any) or an officer or employee
of the authority to represent him at a meeting of the Commission.

(3) A person authorized under sub-section (1) or (2) to represent a
Commissioner at a meeting is entitled to attend the meeting in the place of
the Commissioner and, when so attending, shall be deemed to be a Commissioner.
