AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1989 No. 153 of 1989 - SECT 2

2. (1) Sections 1 and 2 and Part 3 commence on the day on which this Act
receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Section 11 commences on 1 July 1991.

(3) Sections 38 and 71 commence on 1 January 1992.

(4) Subject to subsection (5), the remaining provisions of this Act commence
on a day or days to be fixed by Proclamation.

(5) If a provision referred to in subsection (4) does not commence under that
subsection within the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent, it commences on the first day after the end of
that period.
