(1)

Subject to this section, this Act commences on a day to be fixed by Proclamation.

(2)

If this Act (other than items 34, 47 and 48 of Schedule 2) does not commence under subsection (1) within the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent, then this Act (other than those items) commences on the first day after the end of that period.

If the Public Service Act 1999 has commenced before the day on which this section commences, then items 34, 47 and 48 of Schedule 2 to this Act do not commence.

If the Public Service Act 1999 has not commenced before the day on which this section commences, then items 34, 47 and 48 of Schedule 2 to this Act commence on the day on which this section commences.
