Contempt of Tribunal
53. A person shall not-
(a) insult the person constituting the Tribunal in or in relation to the
exercise or performance of his powers or functions under this Part;
(b) interrupt the proceedings of the Tribunal;
(c) create a disturbance, or take part in creating or continuing a
disturbance, in or near a place where the Tribunal is sitting;
(d) by writing or speech use words calculated-
(i) to influence improperly the Tribunal or a witness before the
Tribunal; or
(ii) to bring the Tribunal or the person constituting the Tribunal
into disrepute; or
(e) do any other act or thing that would, if the Tribunal were a court of
record, constitute a contempt of that court.
Penalty: $1,000 or imprisonment for 3 months, or both.
