AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AMENDMENT ACT 1979 No. 106 of 1979 An Act to amend the Australian Capital Territory Electricity Supply Act 1962. BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows: Short title, &c. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Australian Capital Territory Electricity Supply Amendment Act 1979.*1* (2) The Australian Capital Territory Electricity Supply Act 1962*2* is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AMENDMENT ACT 1979 No. 106 of 1979 - SECT 2 Commencement 2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on 2 June 1979. AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AMENDMENT ACT 1979 No. 106 of 1979 - SECT 3 Interpretation 3. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended- (a) by inserting after the definition of ''financial year'' the following definition: '' 'House of Assembly' means the Australian Capital Territory House of Assembly constituted under the House of Assembly Ordinance 1936 of the Territory or, if that Ordinance is amended, under that Ordinance as amended;''; and (b) by omitting the definition of ''the Legislative Assembly''. AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AMENDMENT ACT 1979 No. 106 of 1979 - SECT 4 Amendments in relation to Australian Capital Territory House of Assembly 4. The Principal Act is amended as set out in the Schedule. AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AMENDMENT ACT 1979 No. 106 of 1979 - SECT 5 Transitional 5.
