ABORIGINAL COUNCILS AND ASSOCIATIONS ACT 1976 No. 186 of 1976 - SECT 13

13. (1) The Registrar shall convene a meeting in accordance with a
notification given under paragraph 12 (1) (c).

(2) The Registrar shall attend a meeting convened under sub-section (1) and
shall endeavour to ascertain the opinions of the adult Aboriginals present at
the meeting regarding-

   (a)  the establishment of an Aboriginal Council for the area the subject of
        the application or a part of that area; and

   (b)  the functions to be conferred on such a Council.
