AUSTRALIAN COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY ACT 1997 No. 52 of 1997 - SECT 40

(1) The staff required for the purposes of the ACA are to be persons appointed
or employed under the Public Service Act 1922.

(2) The Chairman has all the powers of a Secretary under the Public Service
Act 1922 as they relate to the branch of the Australian Public Service
comprising the ACA's staff.

(3) Despite subsection (2), the ACA is taken not to be a Department for the
purposes of section 50 of the Audit Act 1901.
