AUSTRALIAN COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY ACT 1997 No. 52 of 1997 - SECT 30

30 Disclosure of interests

(1) A member, or an associate member, who has a material personal interest in
a matter being considered by the ACA must, as soon as possible after the
relevant facts have come to his or her knowledge, disclose the nature of the
interest at a meeting of the ACA.

(2) A disclosure must be recorded in the minutes of the meeting and the member
or associate member must not, unless the Minister or the ACA otherwise
determines:

   (a)  be present during any deliberation by the ACA about that matter; or

   (b)  take part in any decision of the ACA relating to that matter.

(3) For the purpose of the ACA making such a determination in relation to a
member, or an associate member, who has made a disclosure, a member, or an
associate member, who has a material personal interest in the matter to which
the disclosure relates must not:

   (a)  be present during any deliberation by the ACA for the purpose of
        making the determination; or

   (b)  take part in making the determination.
