AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP ACT 2007 (NO. 20, 2007) - SCHEDULE 1

Pledge of commitment as a citizen of the Commonwealth of Australia

Note:       See section 27.

   

   

1   Form of pledge no. 1

From this time forward, under God,

I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,

whose democratic beliefs I share,

whose rights and liberties I respect, and

whose laws I will uphold and obey.

2   Form of pledge no. 2

From this time forward,

I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,

whose democratic beliefs I share,

whose rights and liberties I respect, and

whose laws I will uphold and obey.
